First, you have to click here & visit
our Downloads section to download the installation file of the
edition that you would like to test (use).
- Choose from what location you want to download
- When you click the "Download" button your browser
will load a new page and the file will begin downloading automatically.
If your download does not begin, or you encounter errors, you
will find alternate link on the page.
When given a choice of download locations, generally you'll want
the location closest to you for the fastest, most reliable download,
but you can choose any link regardless of your or its location.
The Web servers and FTP servers, which host the files and process
the transfers, will return error messages when they are unable
to handle your request. In that case, you should try other sites
that are listed as download options, or try again in a few moments.
- A new window appears asking you What would you like
to do with this file? .
- Select Save this file to disk rather than
Install it from the current location.
- Now, you will be asked to select a folder (directory) in your
hard drive where the installation file will be saved. Do not save
it on your desktop. It is better to save it in
C:
\Temp.
Finally, the download process is successfully completed and you
need to go to C: \Temp (or the other folder)
to run the downloaded file in order to install program on
your computer. Please follow the onscreen instructions to install
.
Before potential users can access HTMLXpress, it must be loaded
into their browser. When the user opens a page, which contains HTMLXpress
editor, HTMLXpress will be automatically loaded and installed. This
process may take several minutes depending on the speed of the network
connection. Once loaded, HTMLXpress will not need to load again
unless upgrading to a newer version.
The user must have authorization to install programs on your computer.
Check your Internet Explorer security setting. It must be set at
Medium or lower to permit downloading and running ActiveX controls.
From the Tools menu, select Internet Options and click
the Security tab.
Internet Component Downloading is a capability of the Internet
browser. In fact, the browser's security settings must be set correctly
or the end user will not get HTMLXpress control. You have to select
the appropriate Internet security setting in order the Internet
Explorer to be able to download and execute an ActiveX.

The HTMLXpress editor incorporates direct conversion from MS Excel
tables and graphs and checks the spelling of your document using
(if present) Microsoft Office's spell-checker.
In our HTMLXpress ActiveX component we use the OLE Automation technology
to create an instance of an MS Office application. Automation (formerly
known as OLE Automation) is a feature of the Component
Object Model (COM), an industry-standard technology that applications
use to expose their objects, methods, and properties to development
tools, macro languages, and other applications.
When using a function of HTMLXpress editor (Import/Export table
from/to MS Excel; Insert chart from MS Excel; Spell Checking;) that
incorporates direct conversion from MS Office, you may get the following
error:
Run-time error '429': ActiveX component can't create object
This error occurs when the requested Automation object could not
be created by COM, and is therefore unavailable to application.
The error is typically seen on certain computers but not others.
The problem happens because of an error in system configuration,
or a missing or damaged component. Finding the exact cause is
a matter of eliminating possibilities. If you encounter this error
