Our Creative labs have built a simple, easy to use and extremely powerful HTML editor. Our software control allows adding a self-contained, WYSIWYG HTML creating and managing tool to your web page that can also be easily used as an input control on your HTML forms.

HTMLXpress is an ActiveX component for online HTML creation and management. HTMLXpress usage can be done online and offline. It can successfully create HTML documents completely ready for online publication and/or database insertion. It incorporates direct conversion from MS Word and MS Excel tables and graphs, plain text and image, complete text and font formatting features. It is especially designed to be built into other web development and management tools. It is distributed as an ActiveX control.

We have developed this targeting two primary audiences that need our HTMLXpress. The first audience is the developer or the host who is creating a full-featured text editing and publishing application such as an e-mail editor or online word processor. The second audience is the developer who is creating a Web authoring application, for example, a Web page designer, forms editor, or Web publisher.

The HTMLXpress is ActiveX and can be hosted in any application that supports ActiveX, but is primarily designed for use with Internet Explorer 5.x or later. The HTMLXpress is downloaded by the client browser on client computer when page containing ActiveX is browsed. It does not interact with the web server. (Even more the web server can be various - IIS, Apache, Sun JWS, etc).

The HTMLXpress control is only a container for document. You can use object's properties, methods and event to manipulate and change active document in HTMLXpress control. You can use object's properties for access the current document's DHTML document object model. You can use a script to access every element on a page as an object then you can manipulate it by calling its methods or setting its properties.

Table Editing:

• Table Editing - Freeform table resizing

Block formatting:

• Indenting
• Outdenting
• Left, right, and center

List editing:

• Numbered lists
• Bulleted lists
• Nesting to any level

Selection services:

• Range selection by dragging the mouse
• Word selection by double-clicking
• Paragraph selection by triple-clicking

Text style and decoration:

• Italic, Bold, Underline

Keyboard based selection:

• (Shift + arrow, Home, and End keys)
• Automatic detection of hyperlinks and bookmarks (makes them navigable)

Text entry mode:

• Insert
• Overwrite

Enhanced features:

• Save and Open from file
• Text formatting: Font face (for example, Times Roman, Arial, Courier, etc.)
• Font size
• Text color
• Background color
